We administer a number of funds that are available to support community projects across Greater Manchester.

We currently administer funds in addition to those below. Our awards team may advise you to apply for a different fund which is better suited to your requirements.

We do not support larger, more sophisticated organisations including those with a track record of attracting funding or a turnover of more than £150,000/annum. Please contact your local Council for Voluntary Service (CVS) for advice on other funds.

THE GREAT GET TOGETHER

Currently open for applications. Closes on Wednesday 7th June at 12pm.

We’re delighted to be supporting the Great Get Together by offering £200 to communities to hold an event in their neighbourhood. The Great Get Together (16th-18th June) aims to encourage communities to get together with their neighbours to share food and celebrate all that we have in common. To be eligible for an award you must have signed up on the official Great Get Together website to hold an event, then complete our application form.

FM AWARDS – CASH 4 GRAFT

Cash 4 Graft rewards resident involvement and volunteering time with between £50 and £250 to help get community ideas off the ground. The awards are matched with the passion and effort of residents and their neighbours who work together to create and develop projects and are available in various areas of Greater Manchester.

CDL FUND

The CDL Fund helps local community and voluntary groups that contribute positively to the quality of life of people in Stockport. The fund is open to groups supporting children and young people, older people, the environment, health and stronger communities. Awards of up to £1,000 are available.

FOURTEEN £1K AWARDS

Awards of up to £1,000 are now available from the Fourteen Programme in Harpurhey and Moston. The awards are aimed at organisations looking to run activities which will support the aim of ‘Social Action and Volunteering’.

FOURTEEN £1-5K AWARDS

Currently open for applications. Closes Wednesday 19th July.

Awards of between £1,000 – £5,000 are available to community groups in Harpurhey and Moston, through the Fourteen Programme. All funded activity should seek to contribute to at least one of the following outcomes: Improve perceptions towards disability; Improve individual wellbeing; Overcoming isolation; Connecting communities.

KELLOGG’S SUSTAINABILITY PACKAGE

Together with Forever Manchester, Kellogg’s offer a limited number of grants across the UK to help fund breakfast clubs in schools. As well as funding, the worldwide brand offers various resources to schools to help sustain a high quality breakfast club. Kellogg’s understand the importance of breakfast to start the school day, and you can apply for funding with the application form available here.

FM AWARDS – CASH 4 GROWTH

Cash 4 Growth supports young or smaller established groups to grow activity in their local community. Awards of £251 – £1,000 are available for small, Greater Manchester based, locally led organisations who are either less than 5 years old OR have an annual income of less than £25,000.

AUTO TRADER COMMUNITY FUND

The Auto Trader Community Fund aims to encourage small, community-based and locally controlled groups that manage themselves, encourage people to get involved as volunteers and who just need a bit of financial help to be able to work with their community in the way they’d like. The Fund welcomes applications from organisations throughout Greater Manchester with an annual income of less than £50,000. Organisations can request an award of up to £1,000.

YOUTH SOCIAL ACTION FUND

The Youth Social Action Fund is open to community groups for grants between £1,000 and £5,000 that will promote volunteering, fundraising and campaigning amongst young people aged between 10 and 20 (25 years for young people with disabilities). This fund is part of the wider multi-agency #iwill campaign.

Comic Relief Community Cash grants of £500 to £1,000 are available to small organisations with an income of under £100,000, that are doing great work to help local people living tough lives.

BARDSLEY FUND

Currently closed.

Bardsley Construction is offering funding to groups across the Greater Manchester area. The fund supports groups that address older people, children and young people, stronger communities and health and wellbeing, whose income is no more than £30,000. Awards of up to £1,000 are available.

Brother UK’s Fund will welcome applications from grassroots community groups across Tameside. The fund’s current priority is to encourage and support grassroots community activity. Annual income of groups applying should be less than £150,000. Awards of up to £2,000 are available.

NINE LIVES COMMUNITY FUND

The Nine Lives Fund is a partnership between Forever Manchester and the Chambers of 9 St. Johns Street, Manchester. The Fund is currently inviting applications from groups that provide activities for young people between the ages of 10 – 18 and living in deprived areas of Greater Manchester and with an income of under £150K.  Priority will be given to projects working with children and young people with disabilities.  Awards of up to £2,000 are available.
