Forever Manchester is offering 100 awards of £100, to help community groups across Greater Manchester get together and connect with their neighbours and communities over summer.
Forever Manchester has always believed that connected communities make stronger, happier communities and love any activity that brings people together. That’s why, every summer and Christmas for the last few years, we’ve awarded funds so that people can host events in their communities.
Last summer we saw an array of incredible ideas which enabled people to get together. Whether you want to hold a street party, a summer holiday family picnic in the park, an afternoon tea to celebrate your community or anything else you can think of that will bring people together and put a smile on their faces, Forever Manchester is offering awards of £100 to help. The community event must take place in August 2023.
We will close for applications at midday on Friday 21st July 2023.
Who can apply?
Applicants must be from a community organisation with their own bank account, or know a community organisation willing to accept an award on your behalf. Funds cannot be paid into personal bank accounts.

What can you apply for?
That is up to you! We’re just here to provide that extra bit of help you might need to make it happen, but here’s a few ideas that we know communities have enjoyed in the past:
- Street parties
- Sports and fun days in the local park
- Bingo or quizzes
- Guided walks and activity trails
- Afternoon tea
Activities must take place in August 2023.
Deadline for Applications
We will close for applications at midday on Friday 21st July 2023. Any applications received after this time will not be considered.
If we receive more eligible applications than there are awards available, final awards will then be allocated via a draw and priority will firstly be given to organisations with an income of £10,000 or less.
How long will a decision take?
Successful applicants will be informed by email by Friday 28th July and payments released the same day (please note they may take several days to reach bank accounts).
