Forever Manchester are working with UK Community Foundations to distribute funding raised by the National Emergencies Trust Coronavirus Appeal. This money is being distributed to community organisations responding to the needs of local communities across Greater Manchester via the Community Support Fund.

Rainbow Surprise provide skills for life, inspiring activities and diverse services to meet the needs of local people through events that build skills, bridge gaps and help to bring people of different faiths and cultures together in the Crumpsall area.

In response to the effects of Covid-19, the group has set up a food drive initiative to work alongside other agencies and organisations including the children and family directorate and housing associations to provide food support for local people experiencing hardship, especially those in isolation, older people and families with young children.

Rainbow Surprise have been overwhelmed with requests for support and their food delivery service will provide a little help for the local community in during these uncertain times.

The award from the Forever Manchester Community Support Fund has helped with the cost of operating their food drive project.
