The Greater Manchester Parenting Collective is a diverse, open and welcoming group started by three friends who have all had lived experience of the challenges of conceiving, pregnancy, birth, feeding and parenting.

Using that knowledge and experience, they provide parenting support, from pregnancy through birth and beyond, to families of all backgrounds and cultures.

They support their local communities across Greater Manchester, by running Sling Library support sessions, Fourth Trimester support groups, private consultation, workshops, fundraising and signposting for new or vulnerable families.

The Sling Library support sessions held at the Trafford Centre, Heaton Chapel, Eccles, Stretford and Radcliffe, provide opportunities for parents to try out a variety of different babywearing techniques, specific to an individual’s needs and teach them how to babywear safely and comfortably.

Their ever-popular Fourth Trimester support groups, better known as their ‘Cake for Breakfast’ Club, provide emotional, practical, and culinary support. This group is all about inclusion and creating a non-judgmental, safe space where parents-to-be can feel at home and completely relaxed.

It is always worth remembering that, if you support Forever Manchester, you support all this.

The ability of local community groups and organisations to best help people in their community remains dependant on maintaining support for them.
