For the next in our Shine A Light series where we tell you a little more about one of our wonderful supporters, here’s Express Solicitors.

Long-time supporters Express Solicitors are the epitome of what it means to be “Forever Manchester”. They take part in a range of fundraising activities and get involved both as a business and as individual staff members.

Notable contributions include being our Birthday Bash headline sponsor 4 years running, entering over 10 people a year into the Manchester 10k, raising funds at their summer BBQ, getting involved in October Cheerfest and much more!

In addition to that, they regularly buy tickets to our Tombola. The Tombola is a valuable source of fundraising for us that allows us to fund and support vital community initiatives throughout Greater Manchester whilst giving those involved a chance to win some amazing prizes. Speaking of which, this month we have a number of CASH prizes and you can buy tickets online now.

Most recently the team have been busying getting set up to work remotely and continuing business as usual as much as possible. That means they’ve been able to donate an amazing £2000 to the This Is The Place Fundraising Appeal which will go towards supporting community groups dealing with the massive impact of Covid-19.

HR Partner, Carole Jones said “Express Solicitors wanted to react quickly and help those groups most in need due to the Covid-19 crisis. We had made strong donations to local food banks and we connected with Forever Manchester as their work supports so many community groups whose work is magnified at these times.

“Groups such as those who care for vulnerable people for example shopping for elderly neighbours, domestic violence centre as well as many other groups. We wanted to have the most impact so donated £6,000 to help towards these causes in total, £2,000 going directly to our good friends at Forever Manchester.”

Managing Partner James Maxey commented “Never has it been more important to think about our communities and make a difference to the real hardship caused by Covid-19. We are always impressed with the speed with which Forever Manchester responds to community groups”.
