Your chance to get involved and have a say in choosing the most iconic Mancunian  venues for our Name Chain print.

Forever Manchester Ambassador Alison Bell, is creating one of her Manchester-themed name-chains designs specifically for Forever Manchester.

Name-chains are themed collections of names which are cleverly joined together, hand drawn and coloured in a square crossword/scrabble-style design. Alison’s first set of name-chains were all based around the theme of Manchester: Manchester Bands, Manchester United and Manchester City.

This new design for Forever Manchester will also have a Manchester theme but this time it will depict iconic buildings and venues. The artwork will include all the historical buildings such as The Town Hall and The John Rylands Library, as well as some of the modern landmarks like Beetham Tower and The Hacienda.

Forever Manchester HQ happens to be based in one of these legendary venues, The Boardwalk, where bands such as Oasis, Happy Mondays and the Inspiral Carpets all cut their teeth!

So if you want to tell us YOUR favourite venue/building/pub in Manchester – whether it’s The White Lion on Liverpool Road or Bernard Manning’s Embassy Club in Harpurhey – get involved and be part of a work of art that will celebrate the history of our wonderful city.

Simply tweet us at @4everManchester with your favourite venues and why, or comment on our Forever Manchester Facebook page and your suggestion will be put forward. Do feel free to send us pictures of any ticket stubs or photos taken from these venues too.

The Manchester Venues Name-Chains design will be one of many newly created items available on the refreshed Forever Manchester shop.
