A fantastic night was had by all at Forever Manchester’s Birthday Party, with £72,469 being raised for Forever Manchester to fund and support community activity across Greater Manchester.

Over 400 passionate and dedicated supporters came together at the Kimpton Clocktower on Friday 18th March 2022 to celebrate another year of Forever Manchester helping local people doing extraordinary things in their local communities. It was a particularly celebratory night, with it being our first Birthday Party since 2020 due to the pandemic, reminding us all of the importance of community and togetherness.

We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone that contributed to a truly entertaining and inspirational night.

The event was kindly sponsored by Express Solicitors.

Hosted by Tony Walsh and Captain Manchester, the Birthday Party, featured first class entertainment from three local community groups:

  • Fat Cat Brass Band
  • Energy Dance Group (Brink Productions)
  • Affinity Show Choir

Rowetta then rounded the evening off with a fantastic performance before Leo B Stanley took to the decks with a DJ set that got everyone up and dancing until the early hours.

The Birthday Party also acknowledged the impressive achievements from local community groups as well as the efforts and contributions by local businesses who support Forever Manchester. A huge congratulations goes to our well-deserved award winners:

  • Oscar – Business Supporter of the Year Award sponsored by Artorius
  • Stockport User Friendly Fellowship – Community Group of the Year Award sponsored by CDL
  • Cuckoo Design – Employee Engagement Award
  • Abraham Moss Warriors – Outstanding Community Contribution Award sponsored by OFR Consultants
  • Jenn Lutton – Captain Manchester Award sponsored by Auto Trader
  • Patricia Griffin – Connecting Communities Award sponsored by Ward Security

Our Forever Manchester Birthday Party wouldn’t have been such a success without the support from sponsors, so a massive thank you to Express Solicitors, Artorius, CDL, Auto Trader, OFR Consultants, Ward Security, Zuto, Beever and Struthers, Fox-Rees Consulting, Raymond James, Castlefield Wealth, Drumbeat and Richard Hogben.

Thanks as well to all the volunteers who gave up their time to help out at The Birthday Party and to everyone that took part in Captain Manchester’s Magical Tombola or placed a bid on the auction!

Congratulations to Nicola Wallbank who won the Twitter Wall Competition, sponsored by Beever and Struthers.
