On Friday 7th February 2020 at Forever Manchester’s 30th Birthday Party, we were pleased to announce Chris Whiteley as winner of the Outstanding Community Contribution Award, sponsored by OFR Consultants.
The Outstanding Community Contribution Award is given in recognition of a person or group of local people who have supported their community over a long period of time, delivering sustained and meaningful impact for many, doing something extraordinary
Forever Manchester has worked with him since 2004 when, serving as a prison officer, he established an intervention programme for offenders called the P3 prison partnership.
Inspired by the success of this initiative and with some funding support from Forever Manchester, Chris established Challenge 4 Change, a unique indoor, activity centre designed to enable people to overcome barriers which potentially hold them back, so they can realise their true potential in life.
