We were delighted to award £56,156 of funding to support a further 12 grassroots community groups based across the ten boroughs of Greater Manchester.

Cellnex UK is part of Cellnex Telecom, Europe’s largest independent telecoms infrastructure provider, and through the Cellnex Digital Inclusion Fund they are dedicated to closing the digital divide in the UK. They want to help people stay connected by promoting digital skills and providing access to digital devices and services to the communities that need it most.

In this last round of the Cellnex Digital Inclusion Fund, (application deadline Friday 18th August 2023), awards of up to £5,000 were available to support community projects tackling digital exclusion across Greater Manchester.

The groups we were delighted to support include:

  • Active Youths Foundation
  • Afrocats
  • Al-Abbas Institute
  • Better We CIC
  • Community Media Crew Group (pictured)
  • Happy Smiles Training CIC
  • KRIMMZ Girls Youth Club
  • Making Education a Priority (MEaP)
  • Sovereign House GH
  • The Halliwell Befriending Service
  • The Hub at Westhoughton
  • Visible Outcomes 4U Limited

It is always worth remembering that, just like Cellnex, if you support Forever Manchester, you support all of this.

The ability of local community groups and organisations to best help people in their community remains dependant on maintaining support for them.

If, like Cellnex, you own or work for a company based in Greater Manchester, the chances are that 90% of your colleagues live in Greater Manchester and are part of the very communities we support.
