Throughout October we held a music-themed online auction which raised a fantastic £6,515.
With over 30 auction lots up for grabs, there was something to suit every pocket and every music fan! From collectables, signed rarities, VIP packages, exclusive artwork and all sorts of Mancunian music memorabilia, the auction celebrated the wide breath of musical talent across Greater Manchester, whilst helping to fund and support community activity across the region.
One of the most sought-after lots was a hand-written verse from the iconic poem ‘I Wanna Be Yours’ by the one and only Dr John Cooper Clarke which had people in a bidding war throughout the month, with the last bid resulting in a fantastic £2,600 raised for Forever Manchester.
A huge thank you to everyone who bid in the auction, we hope you got what you were after!
We also want to thank the individuals and businesses who donated items to the auction and in doing so, showed their support for Forever Manchester:
AO Arena, The Warehouse Project, New Order, Blossoms, Mike Joyce, Clint Boon, Jane Weaver, Sue Langford, Wingman, Justin Eagleton, Stanley Chow, Sophie Nixon, Mancsy, Trevor Johnson, John Cooper Clarke, Kevin Cummins, Leo B Stanley, Graeme Park, The Halle, The Modernist, Matt and Phred’s, Black Triangle and Alison Bell.
All profits from the auction will go to Forever Manchester to fund and support community activity across Greater Manchester.
