For the next in our Shine A Light series where we tell you a little more about one of our wonderful supporters, we’re introducing CDL.
Forever Manchester has worked in partnership with CDL for the last 8 years to deliver the CDL Community Fund.
Launched in April 2012 the fund supports grassroot community projects in and around the Stockport area where CDL has its headquarters.
Over a period of 8 years CDL has supported over 170 grassroot community projects providing funding of over £260,000 which, in turn, has benefited around 61,000 people. Staff from CDL visit some of the projects they have funded, volunteer with them and offer in-kind support, providing a truly holistic approach to their charitable support.
With 600 staff based at the site the company develops and delivers insurance software. Staff get involved in various fundraising activities throughout the year such as cake sales and raffles and the company sponsors the Community Group of the Year Award at Forever Manchester’s Annual Birthday Party.
It’s a pleasure to work with a company with an ethos of supporting local people and providing opportunities to make their lives better.
