About Phoenix House
Phoenix House has been recently refurbished and provides us with fresh new office space for our staff team of 20. Forever Manchester together with Forever Consulting will occupy the first floor of the building which is easily accessible up one flight of stairs or via the lift.
Our new office on Cross Street, in the heart of Manchester city centre, is located between St Ann’s Square and Albert Square and is in close proximity to transport links and amenities.
For a little bit of history… When the building was erected for the expanding Yorkshire Insurance Company in 1928 it was known as Yorkshire House. It was described by C H Reilly in the Manchester Guardian on 9th August 1928 as “one of the most effective new buildings in the town.” One of Manchester’s influential inventors John Benjamin Dancer, and James Prescott Joule optician & originator of microphotography, worked at his shop on this site of Phoenix from 1841 to 1884.
