FoodnFilm celebrated their inaugural “Naffies” with an amazing donation of £1,110 to Forever Manchester. The money will go to supporting local communities across Greater Manchester.

FoodnFilm is a unique networking event that combines great people with food and film. They excitingly brought together Manchester’s finest business talent to celebrate their inaugural award ceremony – ‘The Naffies’ – a night of awards and fundraising for Forever Manchester.

The idea behind ‘The Naffies’ was to fundraise for Forever Manchester and to create a fun and different take on a red-carpet event.

The ‘Naffies’ was held at Lock91 and saw the crème de la crème of networking talent turn out in their finery to strut their stuff along the red carpet to see who would win a hotly anticipated “Naffie”.

The business awards went to:

Rising Star – Ben Wild, What Marketing

Best Networker – Liz Fox, RSM Tenon & Marketing Meets

Best Moment – Roger Longden There Be Giants

Best Dressed – Bharat Bhandari, BCA Accountants & Gemma Rolstone, Delphinium Business Coaching

Scott Hadden, founder of FoodnFilm and ambassador of Forever Manchester said: “After celebrating our first-year anniversary we really wanted to take the time to thank and celebrate all the people who have supported us over the last 12 months. Films are always celebrated with awards, so we thought ‘why not create our own’ and so ‘The Naffies’ were born.

Everyone had so much fun and really celebrated the evening the way we hoped for while raising an amazing amount of money for Forever Manchester.”

The film winners on the evening were:

Best movie – Logan

Best Acting Performance – Gary Oldman

Best Soundtrack – Guardians of the Galaxy 2

Naffist Scene – The entirety of 50 shades freed

Supporters of the evening also included What Marketing for filming the entire evening and Andy Russell for photographing the entire event with Julie Houghton.

Overall over 55 people attended and helped, via ticket sales, charity raffle and after party kindly hosted by Vivid, to raise over £1100 for Forever Manchester.
