Forever Manchester Week is just around the corner. It’s a week designed for the people of Greater Manchester to raise money for their local communities – and we’re delighted that lots of people have submitted their events to help us all share our pride and support for our home.

This year’s Forever Manchester Week is taking place from Friday 2nd June to Sunday 11th June. During this week, you can do whatever you like to fundraise. It can be an idea from the sublime to the ridiculous – nothing is off limits. It could even be something as easy as attending one of the events below!

100% of all the money raised will stay within Greater Manchester and support the neighbourhoods and communities that make this place so great.

Here are a few easy ways that you can be a part of Greater Manchester’s big annual charity week:

Sunrise Sessions

Friday 2nd June, 7am-9am

New Bailey is to host Forever Manchester Week’s opening party!

To give Forever Manchester Week the kickstart it truly deserves, New Bailey restaurant Menagerie has invited a host of their friends to launch it in style with the Sunrise Sessions.

Sunrise Sessions is an open air, morning workout with a festival theme. Menagerie’s Resident DJ, Sarah Giggles, will be headlining the event, playing a mix of bouncy upbeat tunes to accompany fitness guru Nigel Meadow’s rave-inspired workout. This is the perfect way to start your working day, the weekend, and of course Forever Manchester Week. The caped crusader, Captain Manchester, will be joining in and encouraging all participants to get caped up. The dress code is definitely eclectic – Menagerie want to see lots of glitter, lashings of sequins, neon galore, and all of the Lycra!

There will be two sessions at 7am and 8am, each lasting 45 minutes. A minimum £5 donation is required to take part and all proceeds will go to Forever Manchester to help support community activity across Greater Manchester.
