On Sunday 16th April, Forever Manchester was delighted to be the beneficiary charity of a gig at The Castle in Manchester, which raised a fantastic £150!

The evening was jam-packed: entertainment included author and music journalist Mick Middles (who has written books on Joy Division, The Smiths, and many other big musical acts) and promoter Chris Coupe (who held nights for Steve Coogan and John Bradwell of I Am Kloot, among others) in conversation with Salford City Radio’s DJ Stephen Doyle, who hosted the event.

Guests were also treated to music from Field Manual, a Macclesfield band who are an offshoot of The Christophers; KIT B, a Mancunian band building a good reputation on the live circuit and signed to Salford label German Shepherd Records, and legendary performer George Borowski (who is reputedly the ‘George’ from Dire Straits’ Sultans of Swing).

Forever Manchester would like to thank the acts and performers, the organisers of the event, and to all that attended for helping to raise money for us to help support community activity across Greater Manchester.
