Forever Manchester would like to extend a huge thank you to Ambassador, Jenn Lutton, and her colleagues at Express Solicitors for raising £600 from their Virtual Lockdown Run Part II fundraiser.
The week-long fundraiser started 22nd through to 29th November and saw 63 runners take part in a socially distanced 5k or 10k – wherever they lived. Runners came from across Greater Manchester and even as far afield as Amsterdam to raise over £600 for Forever Manchester to fund and support community activity across the region.
This is the second time the Virtual Lockdown Run has been organised and this time there was a team prize for the running club or business who entered the most participants. The winner’s title was taken by Winston Runners from Wythenshawe who have won a 30-minute Virtual Strength Session with Personal Trainer, Hannah Burgon!
Ambassador and Virtual Lockdown Run organiser, Jenn, said “The best thing about organising the run is knowing that it has helped motivate people to get out into the fresh air and have something to aim towards when everything has been so uncertain over the last few weeks and months.”
The Virtual Lockdown Run has raised over £2,500 in total and we thank Jenn, the whole team at Express Solicitors and all the runners who took part!
