On Wednesday 19th July, Forever Manchester Women raised over £2,000 to support female-led community projects across Greater Manchester.
The ‘networking with a purpose’ event was sponsored by Slater and Gordon and hosted exclusively by the gorgeous Menagerie Restaurant and Bar. Once again we heard from two inspirational speakers.
Our business speaker was Caroline Swain of BPS Law. Caroline joined BPS in 2010, and became the first female Partner for the firm in 2013. Caroline is widely renowned as one of the most sought after divorce and matrimonial finance lawyers in the UK and has become the ‘solicitor of choice’ for representing ultra-high net worth and complex disputes both in the North and South of the country.

Our community speaker was Karen Elliott of Bolton Cancer Voices. Karen has been instrumental in establishing and running the group which was was set up 14 years ago. The group aims to bring together people who are being treated for cancer to share stories and their day-to-day struggles and support each other while at the same time enjoy singing and performing as part of a choir across Bolton. The group has grown in number over the last few years and performs at local venues across the Bolton area.

A big thank you to the ladies that attended on Wednesday and, with their ticket price donated to us, helped fund and support community activity across Greater Manchester. Another thank you goes to our fantastic hosts, Menagerie Restaurant and Bar, and sponsors, Slater and Gordon, as well as our welcome drink provider, Three Rivers Gin, our two amazing and inspiring speakers, and our volunteers.
