Wherever you are from, whatever brought you here… You are part of the special stuff that makes Greater Manchester glorious. Forever Manchester Week is back, so let’s celebrate what it means to be from round ‘ere. Let’s showcase our pride in being Greater Mancunian.

Forever Manchester Week is a week designed for the people of Greater Manchester to raise money for their local communities. Whether home-grown or adopted, it’s a chance to share your pride and support for your home.

This year’s Forever Manchester Week is taking place from Friday 2nd June to Sunday 11th June.

During this week, you can do whatever you like to fundraise. It can be an idea from the sublime to the ridiculous – nothing is off limits.

100% of all the money raised will stay within Greater Manchester and support the neighbourhoods and communities that make this place so great.

Are you up for a challenge? Introducing: The Community Champions Cup!

If you’re part of a business, you can gather your work colleagues and take part in our first ever Community Champions challenge – a race to raise as much money as you can during Forever Manchester Week – in order to win our fantastically oversized cup! From dress down (or up!) days and office games day to after-work parties and Manc bake sales, you can do whatever you like to raise the most money.

Are you game? Here’s a few ideas to get you started:

1. Captain Manchester’s Magical Tombola – give your team tickets to sell among their friends and family
2. Bake Sale Like a Manc – don’t limit yourselves to
Manchester Tarts and Eccles cakes… what about a homage to the Curry Mile?
3. Pub Crawl – if 20 people pay just £5 to join in, you’ll have raised £100!
4. Attend Our Nights – we’ve got two big music nights during Forever Manchester Week
5. Canal Walk – from Old Trafford to the Etihad Campus would only take an hour and a half, and staff can get sponsored!

Check out the leaderboard of businesses already signed up here. To add your business to the leaderboard, email us.

There’s something for everyone, including:

  • Tour de Manc – An epic cycle ride around Greater Manchester (100miles or 100km)
  • Fashion Show & Stalls – Up to 75% off brand new high street names, styles to suit all ages and sizes

Or how about just donating?

We know you don’t have to always have to make a song and dance to show your pride (although it’s incredibly fun!). If creating or attending an event isn’t your thing, you can still help us make this week one to remember for local community groups across Greater Manchester. There’s loads of ways you can donate to us.

Doing it online is an easy, fast and secure way to raise funds. You can set up your own page on our JustGiving site, or you can go to the Donate section on this website.

You can text us to donate too! Simply text “FMWK17”, followed by the amount you wish to donate (for example: FMWK17 £5), and send it to the number 70070. Easy!

If you don’t fancy doing it online and want to go old school, you can get a donation to us by post – just send a cheque/postal order/Charities Aid Foundation voucher to: Forever Manchester, 2nd Floor, 8 Hewitt Street, Manchester M15 4GB.

Thanks for getting involved and helping us to raise lots of money to support fantastic community projects across Greater Manchester.
