After five years of hosting our hugely successful First Friday networking events, we’ve decided it’s time for a bit of a facelift with the introduction of a new event called ‘Friday Faces’, exclusively for our business supporters.
Launched in the Autumn of 2012, the aim of our monthly First Friday networking events was to introduce Forever Manchester to local businesses, as well bringing together like-minded people to meet, mingle over a pint or two and enjoy live performances from bands, singer-songwriters, poets and community groups.
The events brought together over 100 people each month from an eclectic mix of businesses of all shapes and sizes, and was held at a number of pubs and bars across the city centre, who all kindly provided their space free of charge.
First Friday has proved to be hugely successful for us in helping to grow our business supporters. By meeting on a regular basis we have forged some fantastic relationships who in turn have helped to raising a whole pile of cash through regular donations, sponsorship and fundraising.
But all good things must come to an end, and after five years we’ve decided to call time on First Fridays as we know it. So, after much thought, we’ve decided to give First Fridays a bit of a facelift. From April 2017 onwards our networking events will now be called ‘Friday Faces’ and will be exclusively for our growing number of business supporters. It’ll still have all the qualities of our First Friday events with a few new features.
As we truly value the support of these businesses we wanted to hold an event to give us the opportunity to say ‘thank you’ as well as facilitating introductions with other business that support us. We appreciate that the Busy Bees from businesses can’t always commit to attending every month, so we’ve listened to feedback and felt that a quarterly meet would be more beneficial to us and for busy business folk.
We will kick off Friday Faces on Friday 28th April (4pm-6pm) at the Ape and Apple pub on John Dalton Street in Manchester.
