We want to say a huge thank you to Forever Manchester ambassador Alison Bell for organising a Celebrity Pop Quiz which raised a fantastic £940.
Hosted by the brilliant comedian and actor John Thomson, the event took place at Freight Island where everybody dusted off their thinking caps and got stuck in for a night of fun. Trickier than your regular pub quiz, the teams were really challenged by some of the questions and had to display an impressive knowledge of popular music from all eras and genres (but of course, the Manchester music scene was at the heart of the evening).
With rounds such as Finish the lyric, Guess the Album Artwork, and Name That Tune, quiz master John Thomson kept the night running smoothly and created some great rivalry between the teams. There were individual spot-prizes throughout and a live raffle which featured some brilliant prizes such as tickets for the Warehouse Project and the chance to attend a sold-out Blossoms gig.
We’d like to say a big thank you to Alison, John and everybody who bought a ticket and joined them on the night to help raise money for Forever Manchester.
