We’ve put down our rolling pin and our pinnies for another year – Caketober has come to an end once again.
2016’s Caketober was the biggest yet, with nearly 100 businesses, community groups, coffee shops, restaurants and bars taking part and raising over £6,500 with more to come…
A huge thank you once again to theEword for their continued support with Caketober.
Cake is a great way to get involved with Forever Manchester and help raise money. The month of October continues to show how something as simple baking and selling cakes can make a massive difference for local communities of Greater Manchester.
We announced the winners for the Caketober competitions at our First Friday networking event last Friday.
The Caketober Shield, presented to the business that has raised the most relative to the size of their business, went to Stockport-based CDL Software.

The Golden Rolling Pin, awarded to the baker of the ‘best dressed cake’ – the most visually spectacular! This year’s winner was Lucy Marriott from Refinery for her ‘Pride’ cake – seen below in the second picture.
The Caketober Crown, presented to the person (or team) who goes all out with their fancy dress. Tunafish Media snapped up the coveted crown this year for their space theme.
