Forever Manchester’s Birthday Party, held on Friday 9th February 2018, raised a magnificent £70,000.

Five hundred passionate Greater Mancunians came together at the Principal Manchester to celebrate another fantastic year of Forever Manchester supporting local people doing extraordinary things together in their local communities right across Greater Manchester.

On behalf of us all at Forever Manchester we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that contributed to a truly entertaining and inspirational night.

We were delighted to welcome performances from local community groups; Mad Theatre Company, Capoeira Conviver, Mature Movers and Strictly Wheels. and we’d like to give a special mention to String Infusion and DJ Gabby Sanderson who had everyone on their feet at the end of the night.

We couldn’t have hosted such a hugely successful night without the support from our sponsors.  So a massive thank you goes to Express Solicitors, Tilney, Kellogg’s Manchester Building Society, CDL, Auto Trader, Kyocera, Beever and Struthers, Cresta Cars, Sterling Event Group, Brother, Seventy7 and Tuna Fish.

Thanks also to Alfred Chow, Verdure, Giraffe Event Solutions and Rainbow Balloons for helping to decorate the room. A big cheers to Barrie English aka Percival Manchesterford for playing the part of Master of Ceremonies and of course to our very own Captain Manchester.

Hats off to Drumbeat and G.F Smith for the designs of the tickets and event programme, Bakeorama for the cake, Carl Sukonik, our chief photographer on the night and Tuna Fish for  producing the video of the night. And a big thank you to all the volunteers who gave up their time to help out undertaking a variety of tasks.

And finally a big massive thank you to everyone that took part in the Tombola and bid on the auction, helping us reach an amazing £70,000.

The night also recognised the fantastic achievements from people and groups who work tirelessly in their local community as well as the efforts by local businesses who support Forever Manchester.

We would also like to congratulate the following winners of our awards on the night:

  • Salford Death Cafe – Growing Community Award, sponsored by Kellogg’s
  • Europia – Inspirational Community Group Award, sponsored by CDL
  • Auto Trader – Business Supporter of the Year Award, sponsored by Tilney
