We are sorry to confirm that the Great Manchester 10k Run, due to take place on Sunday 6th September, has now been cancelled due to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis.

For those that have signed up to run for Forever Manchester, you should have received an email informing you of this and whether you want to defer your entry until next year or to request a refund of your £25 entry fee.

The organisers haven’t taken this decision lightly. Over the past few months, they’ve worked hard, and in close consultation with their medical teams, local authorities and key partners to try and find a way to run the Great Manchester Run which both observes social distancing rules, and, crucially, doesn’t impact on the NHS.

But, as things stand, and even as the situation improves, it isn’t going to be possible to meet these goals with any certainty, and so, with just under three months to they have concluded that the best course of action is to cancel.

We know how disappointing this is, but we’re sure everyone will understand why this decision has been made.
