Our #FMWomen celebration event, held on Thursday 19th April at The Midland Hotel raised a magnificent £7,000 for Forever Manchester to help fund and support female-led community projects across Greater Manchester.
The event, kindly sponsored by McAlister Family Law was titled ‘Celebrate The Last Century and Unite For The Next’.
On arrival, 170 guests were treated to a welcome drink and live performance from the talented String Infusion in the Trafford Suite, overlooking the site of the upcoming Emmeline Pankhurst statue. Guests were also treated to a Goody Bag featuring gifts from Manchester Gin, McAlister Family Law, Beauty Bay and Zen Office. Thanks also to Verdure Floral Design who provided the table decorations.

Dr. Helen Pankhurst, the great ganddaughter of Emmeline Pankhurst and author of ‘Deeds Not Words, the Story of Women’s Rights, Then and Now’ delivered a inspirational key note speech which developed into further discussion about the positive changes made over the last 100 years and what men and women can both do to bring about more equality over the next 10 years.
On behalf of us all at Forever Manchester we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that contributed to a truly inspirational and thought provoking evening.
