For anywhere between one and three years, our community builders work closely with a community in Greater Manchester, getting to know as many people as possible. We find out what they love about where they live, what they like to do there, and what their passions are. By working closely with people at a grassroots level and using our knowledge of Asset-Based Community Development, we help communities turn their ideas and aspirations into a reality. Typically, we follow a five-staged approach which is repeated time and time again as we meet more and more people. This intensive implementation of ABCD programmes starts from a place of possibilities, strengths and capabilities as opposed to problems and deficiencies.
