Pride in Place – Delivered from within Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) training for Local Authorities The Pride in Place Programme is a flagship UK government initiative committing up to £5.8 billion over 10 years to support 284 disadvantaged communities. Each selected neighbourhood receives up to £20 million to spend on local priorities, such as high street regeneration, green spaces, and community safety. The programme’s core objective is to shift decision-making power from Westminster into the hands of local people and to empower local people to shape the future of their neighbourhood. Supported by up to £5 billion in funding over 10 years, this programme represents a long-term strategy to fix the foundations in hundreds of communities across the country.
