Caritas Diocese of Salford work alongside people from across Greater Manchester and Lancashire who are experiencing poverty, discrimination, and homelessness, helping them to transform their lives. People who are homeless or at risk of homelessness tend to have no, or few, support networks, have very low levels of digital access (which is becoming increasingly important), and very few opportunities to get access to health and wellbeing services. Caritas Diocese of Salford ensure people have the support they need to prevent them from becoming homeless; that people who do become homeless are helped to secure safe accommodation with the support they need to make a new home; and that no one has to sleep rough. They believe that everybody deserves to live in a safe, healthy and secure environment. Covering 620 miles across Greater Manchester and Lancashire they provide a range of services, from help with housing, finance, and physical and mental health issues, to the provision of nutritious meals and a warm place where people can socialise and join in a range of activities. They advocate for social justice and aid, to create an equal society where those who are most vulnerable have access to the appropriate help and resources. It is always worth remembering that, if you support Forever Manchester, you support all this. The ability of local community groups and organisations to best help people in their community remains dependant on maintaining support for them.
