We couldn’t be more grateful for your continued support, and we want to make sure you understand just how much of an impact you help us to make. Every three months, we take some time to review the awards we’ve given to community groups, along with some of the incredible things those groups have been able to achieve with your help. From October to December, we provided £142,225 in funding to 116 groups. Each project reached around 60 people, meaning your support has touched the lives of over 6,960 people. That’s enough to fill The Manchester Academy, The Apollo, and then some! This funding has supported a diverse range of initiatives; from a cultural organisation preserving heritage through dance and language classes, to a baby bank providing essential packages of warm clothing to families in need, to a dedicated group of volunteers who are transforming a once neglected park into a vibrant community hub. In addition to this, we were able to fund 175 groups through our Connecting Communities at Christmas programme, with a total of £21,875 awarded. We saw a fantastic array of events and activities take place, all of which helped spread the festive spirit and strengthen community bonds. In 2024, we supported 618 groups with a total of over £850,000 in funding, enabling their amazing work to continue. But frankly, none of this would be possible without your dedication and generosity, and for that, we thank you deeply.
