We’re delighted to announce the For Everyone Award shortlist which will be presented at Forever Manchester’s Birthday Party on Friday 7th February 2025 at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel. This award is given in recognition of a group running activities that support equality, diversity, and opportunity for everyone. Afrocats Afrocats, a female and Black-led organisation, creates safe spaces for individuals from refugee, asylum-seeking, and third-culture backgrounds to explore their unique challenges, primarily through art-based initiatives that enhance wellbeing, self-esteem and mental health. Fempowered Together Seeking to address the unique challenges that can often make young disabled women feel disconnected and isolated from their peers, Fempowered Together is a disabled-led community group that offers a friendly and inclusive environment for disabled women to come together and share their experiences, support one another and build meaningful relationships. Pegasus RDA Working to break down some of the barriers disabled people face in accessing mainstream sport, Pegasus RDA offers horse riding and care lessons for disabled children in a friendly, supportive and safe environment. These lessons are not only therapeutic, promoting both physical and emotional well-being, but also provide a social experience and an opportunity to connect with others. Pride on the Range Organised by a passionate group of volunteers, Pride on the Range is a community-led pride event, that celebrates the LGBTQ+ community in Whalley Range. The group work alongside local businesses, schools and community organisations to bring the event to life, creating a sense of unity where local people can come together, celebrate diversity and show support for the LGBTQ+ community. RADAR RADAR was formed in 2019 by a group of local people deeply concerned about the lack of support and resources available for people left homeless after being denied asylum. Determined to address this gap, the group provides temporary housing and financial assistance to help meet the immediate needs of those that have been refused asylum.
