Great Manchester Run 2025

Run and raise money for Forever Manchester in the Great Manchester Run 10k taking place on Sunday 18th May 2025.

The Great Manchester Run is a celebration of all that is great about Greater Manchester. You’ll feel the goosebumps as you and 25,000 other runners follow the famous route passing iconic Manchester landmarks.

In true Mancunian style, it’s a party from start to finish, with a high-energy soundtrack, live music and entertainment zones at every turn – plus, some of the loudest and most enthusiastic local support.

It’s a run for everyone, from locals to celebrated athletes, whether it’s your first 10k or your 50th half marathon.  An inclusive celebration of Mancunian running, with music blazing, crowds buzzing, legs pumping and fists bumping. The city comes alive on Great Manchester Run weekend.

Why run and raise money for Forever Manchester?

All money raised by our runners goes to Forever Manchester to fund and support community activity across Greater Manchester. You can help us, help your

local communities, no matter which borough of Greater Manchester you call home.

For Individuals: 10k Run – Discounted places available (£40)

Forever Manchester’s charity places for the 10K run are available at a discounted rate of £40 (normally £43 from the Great Run website), with a minimum fundraising target of £150.

For Businesses: 10k Run – Team of 4 (£160)

We are encouraging businesses to sign up teams of four to run for Forever Manchester, with a minimum fundraising target of £1,000 per team. If you are a business supporter wishing to register your team, simply click the button below.

Half Marathon – (£50)

If you fancy a bigger challenge you can choose to raise money for Forever Manchester by taking part in the Half Marathon which is also taking place on Sunday 18th May 2025 .

Unfortunately we are unable to offer discounted running places for the Half Marathon, so please sign up direct via the Great Run, at a cost of £50.

We will contact participants individually with information on how to set up your JustGiving.com page, where you will be able to begin your fundraising journey.

Next Steps

Once you have signed up to run for Forever Manchester, we will send you details on how to register your details on the Great Run website, so that they can send you your race pack and allocate the appropriate ‘wave’ for you to run in.

After that, you will receive an email from the ‘Event Online Support Team’ at Great Run – sent from mailsend@greatactivity.org Contained in the email will be link to ‘click here to register’.

Simply follow the steps, and once you have registered you will receive an email from the ‘Event Online Support Team’ to confirm your place in the run.
