Chris has over 10 years experience in the media industry. He founded a movement called I Love MCR which has become a trusted symbol of civic pride.

It’s also one of the most prolific news, advertising and marketing platforms in the region where he champions a huge community of people, charities, businesses and promotes Manchester to the world. The job comes with a great responsibility: the love of humanity.

His heart is in the right place.“Nobody’s perfect but being Mancunian is close enough.”

Chris was a qualified secondary school teacher before landing a job as an Art Director at Cognitive Publishing for 7 years – a Manchester based B2B magazine and website publisher – before founding I Love MCR in 2011.

He’s also a 2nd Dan black belt in Taekwondo and voluntarily taught people of a mixed age group in Salford every week for 3 years.

What asked how he’d like to get involved with Forever Manchester: “I Love MCR is to become a media and business partner for Forever Manchester.”

“I personally like to get involved with grass roots community projects.

“I love the civic pride of people. Mancunians – ‘born here or drawn here’ – are perpetually friendly, honest and transparent. But we don’t accept any bullsh*t.

“We’re also not afraid to change and brave enough try something different, although we always find time to nod to our history.”
