Amy moved to Manchester 7 years ago this summer and has since become an adopted Mancunian – working and living in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.

She went to Leeds Met to do a Fine Art BA following her foundation at Lincoln College of Art. Amy has spent over 12 years working in all areas of hospitality, in the latter years focusing on Marketing and Events for Room Restaurant ( Now Grand Pacific) as well as producing artwork as a sideline.

Amy now works as a full time freelance artist and illustrator does anything from murals, painting giant bees, oil paintings, to book illustration, cards and story-boarding.

When asked about how she’d like to get involved with Forever Manchester, she said: “I would like to collaborate by selling the Bee Love prints which raise money for Forever Manchester with each one sold.”

“I will be producing greetings cards throughout the year so would be happy to make a selection with a Manchester theme perhaps which can be sold through my own website and on ForeverManchesterShop.com

Amy also spoke passionately about her love of Manchester: “I love the vibrancy of the city, there’s so much going on and everyone is passionate about the place and what they do that it’s great to be a part of it. “

“The city is forever changing but the support network is incredible especially for small and independent businesses which is a lovely culture and it makes the dream of working as a creative a real possibility.”
