On Monday 29th February Forever Manchester renamed the Leap Day Xtra Happy Day.
The idea behind the day was for people to embrace the extra day given to us by the leap year this year and spend it extra happy, and be thankful for the extra day given to us only once every four years.
The day was a huge success and we even trended on Twitter in Manchester (get us)! Our fanzine landed on the desks of Forever Manchester supporters and inside it was a huge cartoon smile for people to hold up and take a selfie with to send to us on Twitter.

Our local neighbourhood hero, Captain Manchester went to different businesses across Greater Manchester to get them to help him to create a mile of smiles, which you can see in the video below:
Huge thank you to theEword, Tunafish Media, UK Fast, AutoTrader UK and Weber Shandwick for letting the Captain come over for a visit and helping us to create the great video above.
If you want to see who got involved take a look at the #XtraHappy hashtag on Twitter.
