The football transfer window is open and Manchester United and Manchester City have both been very active so far, but they’re not the only ones!

Here at Forever Manchester, since the transfer window opened we’ve got ourselves two new Ambassadors, four new Corporate Partners, a new Vice President and a shiny new Community Builder!

Our support both individually and from corporate partners is growing weekly, and it is a very exciting time to be involved with Forever Manchester. With sponsorship opportunities available for various events such as our Annual Birthday Bash and Halloween Spooktacular, we are looking ahead and think even Jim White would be excited by our signings this summer!

This is how our new line-up is looking:

Will Jarvis was the first of two Ambassadors signed up. Will is Brand Ambassador at The MRJ Group, a digital marketing recruitment company. Will first met us at our 25th Birthday and was immediately hooked and wanted to get involved straight away.

Our second Ambassador on the books was Becky Lambert, who’s a self-confessed home bird and loves everything about this fine city. Becky works as Head of Digital Media at Winning Pitch, who are a management consultancy. Becky wanted to get involved with us because Manchester is her favourite place in the world.

Next up we had four new Corporate Partners. The first of which was Evolutia, who are a straight talking, results focussed web design and digital marketing agency based in Manchester. They have 12 years’ experience working closely with clients. Dave Bowers, Head of Design said: “We have a responsibility within the communities where we live and work. It is important to us to ensure that our fundraising efforts have the maximum impact on our local neighbourhood.”

We also signed up Hine Insurance who were one of the first brokers to achieve Chartered status and advise corporate and high net worth clients across the UK. Paul Hine, Managing Director said: “As a local employer, present in Didsbury for over 20 years, we’re delighted to be working with Forever Manchester to help us to deliver our support for local communities in a meaningful way.”

Boss Model Management was next on our transfer list and after a great meeting signed up within an hour of our Business team getting back to the office. Boss Model Management was established in 1988 and over two decades has evolved to become one of the most active and respected model agencies in the UK. Managing Director, Debra Burns said: “If we can help to excite, provide and create unique opportunities for people then we are happy. If we can reach out to the local community and extend the hand of friendship then we have done a good job.”

Our latest Corporate Partner to sign up was Trafford Business Connect. The Trafford-based magazine has supported Forever Manchester for some time now, featuring us in their monthly magazine and raising money for us at events. They are now fully-fledged members of our ever-growing Corporate Partners and are delighted too! Trafford Business Connect is a fast growing business to business bi-monthly magazine that is crammed full of local news, articles, interviews and regular columnists. Director Jon Cheetham said: “We are keen to promote the crucial work that Forever Manchester supports, and offer a platform within the Greater Manchester business community for that message to be heard.”

Steven Lindsay, Corporate Finance Partner at CLB Coopers is also our new Vice President – Professional Services Sector. This follows the appointment of Phil Jones, MD of Brother UK, who became Forever Manchester’s President in August last year. Steven will now join forces with Phil and form a steering group to help drive Forever Manchester’s next period of development. Steven said: “As an adopted Mancunian, I can’t wait to get started helping the excellent Forever Manchester charity drive both its fundraising and profile in the Greater Manchester Professional Services sector.”

Last, but certainly not least we are delighted to announce that our new Community Builder began his Forever Manchester journey today on our staff visit to Moston and Harpurhey. Graeme Urlwin is the newest recruit to Team FM. Graeme comes to us with a whole host of great community work under his belt including work with The Lowry Theatre and Manchester City Council. Graeme has worked on projects getting residents to be creative about tackling issues in their area and many other things.

Forever Manchester wishes our new recruits the best of luck raising money for us and working in our communities.
