This Sunday you’ll be able to see the Forever Manchester team at the North Manchester Community Games at Boggart Hole Clough.
This free event is designed to bring the community together to encourage them to take part in sport and physical activity.
The day will involve taster sessions and competitions in a wide range of sports including rugby, football, disability sports, athletics, boxing, running, skateboarding, volleyball, badminton, basketball, netball and the fun doesn’t stop there…
There will also be a bouncy castle, free running, arts and crafts, face painting, fun family games and loads more.
As you enter Boggart Hole Clough, the Forever Manchester Marquee will be positioned on the field on the left hand side of the driveway.
Our Community Building Team consisting of Helen Smith, Graeme Urlwin and Lyndsey Ashworth will be joined by Marketing Director Paul Haworth on the day, so feel free to come over and meet our team.
Helen Smith, Community Building Co-Ordinator said: “We’re really looking forward to meeting loads of new people and finding out about all the great stuff that is already going on in the area. We also want to hear about any new ideas residents may have for new community projects too.”
The communities of Moston and Harpurhey in North Manchester are one of fourteen communities across the UK that have received £200,000 in funding from Spirit of 2012; a charity set up by the Big Lottery Fund to increase community participation and improve wellbeing.
The investment in the area is being delivered and managed by Forever Manchester.
