Nic Edmondson, Stuart Thompson and Adam Roberts are taking on the Manchester Marathon for Forever Manchester!

They posted on their JustGiving page: “So please dig deep and support 2 Mancs and one honorary Manc raise money for Manchester’s best charity, the brilliant Forever Manchester.”

They also provided some information on why they’re all running for Forever Manchester.

Nic told us: “I ran the 10k for Forever Manchester in 2017 raising £700. My first ever race and now I’m here. I thought that if I’m going to run a marathon, I might as well be doing it to raise money for Manchester’s best charity and see it do some good back in the community.”

Stu added: “Doing a marathon is probably the ultimate challenge and I’m so happy I’m doing it with my mates and helping to raise money for an incredible charity. The work forever Manchester does is vital to my city and I hope we can raise loads!”

Adam added his thoughts: “So, what have I learned? 26 miles is a very very long way. A marathon is as much a mental challenge as a physical challenge. Energy gels are amazing but taste rubbish. Endorphins after a run are adictive. Running with mates beats running solo. Did I say, 26 miles is a very long way?”
