Sunday 14th June was Manchester Day – a day dedicated to celebrating our great city.
On the day, there was be a parade as well as celebrations at Manchester City Centre’s four squares:
- St Anne’s Square
- Albert Square
- Great Northern Square
- Exchange Square
A whole host of entertainment happened across the day, including performances from community groups from across Greater Manchester; three of which we have funded.
- 3rd Davyhulme Scout Band will be performing jazz tunes in St Ann’s Square at 3.45pm
- Reforma Movement Theatre will be performing in Great Northern Square at 2.05pm
- Venture Arts will also have presence on the day
Manchester Day is what we’re all about at Forever Manchester – celebrating the diversity and the general culture of our great city.
Forever Manchester is proud to have supported groups illustrating what Manchester is all about last Sunday.
The day is all about strong communities coming together to celebrate where they’re from, feel proud and enjoy the day.
