As part of its 20th anniversary year Manchester Arena has announced its commitment to Forever Manchester.
The partnership will see the venue support Forever Manchester through fundraising, donations and other services over the next 12 months.
Speaking at the launch of the collaboration James Allen, General Manager for Manchester Arena, said: “We’re delighted to start working with Forever Manchester.
“The charity shares our commitment to the city and what makes this partnership particularly special is the timing. This year we celebrate 20 years in Manchester whilst Forever Manchester celebrates 25 years. We’re now working closely with both charities on a number of projects to ensure 2015 is a year to remember for all.”
Nick Massey said: “As a charity dedicated to raising funds for the communities of Greater Manchester we’re really excited about the prospect of working alongside one of Manchester’s most Iconic venues. Hopefully the following months will see a range of fundraising activity that will make a significant and positive impact on the lives of the people who live and work in communities of our ten boroughs.”
Manchester Arena will be supporting us throughout 2015 and we will have presence at the Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds (9th March), Take That (21st, 30th May and 18th June) and Simply Red (12th December) gigs where we will be raising awareness about what we do and collecting donations.
If you’re attending any of these gigs be sure to keep a look out for our red shakers and say hello!
Huge thanks goes to Manchester Arena for choosing us in their prestigious 20th year anniversary celebrations.
