Laing O’Rourke have funded a Cash4Graft programme in South Manchester alongside Forever Manchester.

Our Cash4Graft programme is designed to break down the bureaucracy typically associated with funding applications. It encourages residents who wouldn’t usually apply for funding to gain access to money to help turn their ideas into reality and kick-start projects to benefit the wider community.

The new expansion of our Cash4Graft programme, funded by Laing O’Rourke is now available to residents in Withington, Old Moat, Moss Side, Hulme, Chorlton, Didsbury West and East, Burnage, Levenshulme, Fallowfield and Whalley Range.

Cash4Graft gives small groups hoping to make a difference in their community a grant of up to £250 to get their projects off the ground.

Tuesday 24th February saw the launch of the programme at Laing O’Rourke’s office in Hulme. Residents and businesses were invited free of charge to find out more about the scheme and pick up Cash4Graft applications, if they were interested.

The night saw a positive response from residents interested in the new programme available to them, with people filling in forms to kick-start their ideas.

Cash 4 Graft rewards resident involvement and volunteering time with between £50 and £250 to help get community ideas off the ground. The awards are matched with the passion and effort of residents and their neighbours who work together to create and develop projects.

The Cash4Graft programme was put together by Forever Manchester to encourage local people to do extraordinary things together. The programme is also available in Trafford and Oldham.

If you live in the areas of South Manchester mentioned, Trafford or Oldham and are interested in applying please call us on 0161 214 0640 or email to see whether you are eligible for our Cash4Graft award.
