Sunday 13th September will see the Greater Manchester Bake Off in Albert Square.

There’ll be a competition for those serious bakers out there, but alongside this Forever Manchester will have a marquee selling cakes made by our lovely supporters.

If you consider yourself Manchester’s answer to Mary Berry, get baking and we can sell your cakes to raise money to help the people across Greater Manchester doing extraordinary things together.

Don’t consider yourself a baker? No problems! We also need people to help us to sell cakes on the day and round up some custom to boost sales. If you think this could be you, your help would be greatly appreciated.

Alternatively, you can just come along on the day and stuff your face and donate to our cause.

We’ll be looking for people to bake everything and anything, from cakes to pies to quiches.

This event ties in with Manchester Food and Drink Festival’s Great Manchester Bake Off’s final, which will take place on the same day. As well as helping out Forever Manchester, if you head down on the day you can learn some new baking skills from Richard Burr from 2014’s Great British Bake Off, who will be headlining the baking demos on the day.

If you think you can help us with baking or selling cakes on the day, please email our cake connoisseur Emma James on
