Forever Manchester has been chosen as the official charity partner of the EN North West Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.

Celebrating its twelfth year as the top accolade for entrepreneurs in the North West, the event typically attracts around 500 of the region’s most successful business owners and advisors in the affluent surroundings of the Mere Golf Resort & Spa in Cheshire.

The awards, which take place on Wednesday 16th October, are judged by a panel of entrepreneurs (including a former dragon from BBC TV show Dragons’ Den) and Michael Portillo will take to the stage to give a keynote speech.

Nick Massey, Chief Executive of Forever Manchester, says, “We’re delighted to have been chosen as the official charity partner this year. Manchester has a long history of producing entrepreneurial talent from the likes of Joseph Holt in 1849 to JD Williams in 1888 and Henri Lloyd in 1963.

“That same talent is reflected in our own neighbourhoods and communities where local people do extraordinary things to improve the quality of life for friends, family and neighbours. Forever Manchester exists to make sure that we all have the chance to do that.”

Kirsty Hewitt, editor of EN, says, “As a charity for people with a passion for Greater Manchester Forever Manchester is a perfect fit for the EN Awards and we are delighted to have it on board.

“The awards are designed to showcase the entrepreneurial talent in the North West and judging by the nominations we have received so far the judges have certainly got a tough job on their hands.”

The deadline for 2013 nominations has been extended to Monday 26th August.
