Ambassador Ric Brooks and Corporate Partners Tunafish Media held a dodgeball tournament last week raising money for Forever Manchester.
The night saw 15 teams compete for the prestigious Forever Ballin’ winner’s prize, which was a platter for 10 at the Northern Quarter’s newest bar Dive NQ. The winners on were Pomegranate, who were dodgeball machines and definitely looked liked they’d played before! We’re not saying they got in some professionals, but their team mate Alessio Esposito also took home a voucher for a three course meal for two at Spinningfields favourite, Neighbourhood for Best Dodgeballer, as voted for by the World Dodgeball Association.
The World Dodgeball Association, alongside Manchester University refereed the matches and although Team FM may have got a little competitive at times because a few people may have stayed on the courts after they were hit, they did a great job and students from the University were a massive help, stepping in at the last minute.
The event raised a fantastic £1800, which has the potential to benefit hundreds of local people doing extraordinary things together across Greater Manchester.
A great evening was had by all, and although Team FM were robbed (maybe, maybe we were just rubbish) we are very thankful to Ric and his Tuna colleagues for putting on such a unique event, which everyone got stuck in to. Thanks also goes to all of the teams involved on the night, we had a ball (literally…to the face).
Have a nosey at the video the Tuna team produced after the event:
