This week a few of the Forever Manchester team are heading down to Bristol for the Community Foundation Conference. Where all Community Foundations get together to network, share ideas and attend workshops.

On Thursday, Gary and Helen from our Community Building team will be presenting The Neighbourhood Works approach to the other community foundations, to promote their one day workshop in November. Since 2011, Forever Manchester has adopted and developed an ABCD way of working and this workshop provides local people, development workers, strategic managers and front staff a fun and interactive introduction to ABCD in practise.

The workshop will be facilitated by Gary Loftus, Forever Manchester’s Head of Community Building, who is a qualified trainer and has over 15 year’s experience working in communities and is himself an ABCD practitioner.

The event will take place at The Park Inn Hotel, Manchester on Wednesday 27th November 2013 from 10-4pm and costs £80pp.

Our new International Ambassador, an ABCD practioner and believer, Scott McAfee comments, ”Forever Manchester is a great model for Community Foundations worldwide, they have moved past antiquated ideas like needs and gaps, to a future based on Strengths and assets of the community and it’s Citizens. The Connected engaged community is at the heart of everything they do”.
