Head of marketing communications at Manchester’s AO Arena.

Originally from Yorkshire, Emma moved to Manchester in 2005 and completely fell in love: The city has so much charm! Everything from the weather to the sense of humour, the architecture, the nightlife, the restaurants, the theatres… Manchester has it all, what’s not to love?!”

A long-serving member of the Ambassador team, Emma turned her hand to beekeeping whilst working at the Hard Rock Cafe Manchester. Teaming up with the Printworks to set up the LIVE FROM THE HIVE project on the roof, which features a garden for all seasons and four hives.

In October 2014, the first batch of #LIVEFROMTHEHIVE honey sold out in a day, assisted by the fact that the labels had been lovingly designed by local street artist Mancsy @realmancsy www.mancsy.co.uk. It’s an initiative that is close to her heart and has raised thousands over the years for Forever Manchester: “There’s a beautiful serenity with beekeeping, the knowledge that all worker bees are women, who dedicate their lives to the wellbeing of their hive, and of course the bee is synonymous with Manchester too!”
