On the 4th of June 2016, Forever Manchester Community Ambassador Natalie Lek will be attempting to walk the length of Hadrian’s Wall to raise money for Forever Manchester.
Natalie is the brains and motivation behind Pounds for Child Poverty and is on a crusade to help people struggling in the communities of Greater Manchester by cooking and sharing her skills. She made headlines in December when she cooked 400 Christmas dinners to be distributed to people who were isolated or struggling.
The walk will be the whole length of Hadrian’s Wall – which is 86 miles in 2 days! The money raised will go towards providing dinners for children in Greater Manchester through Pounds for Child Poverty, and will also benefit communities through Forever Manchester.
When asked why she was doing this, Natalie said: “Both of these causes are very close to my heart as I believe no child should suffer poverty, and if we can help the community address this and come together we can make a difference.”
