Oldham Play Action Group together with First Choice Homes are hosting breakfast clubs thanks to Forever Manchester and Kellogg’s.
The breakfast clubs are taking place until Friday 4th September and will be taking place at three venues 9-11am Monday-Friday.
The venues are:
- Monday – Wednesday: Barker Street Tenants Hall, Eden Street
- Thursday: Wallshaw Street Tenants Hall, Wallshaw Street
- Friday: Anchor Street Tenants Hall (off Henshaw Street)
The clubs are open to all ages, though under 8’s must be accompanied by an adult. They will provide a nutritional breakfast once a day for families in the local area as well as arts and crafts to entertain the children.
Organiser Steph Gill said: “We’re putting these breakfast clubs on for something for families in the area to do during the school holidays. We find that arts and crafts can bring the whole family together, and they even get a good breakfast thrown in too!”
If you’d like to attend these FREE breakfast clubs with your family, feel free to pop in to the above locations between 9-11am Monday-Friday.
Oldham resident, Steph Wilde recently spoke to Key 103 about how important things like these free breakfast clubs are for people across the country. Steph speaks of the free breakfast clubs available in a community cafe supported by Forever Manchester in Oldham.

These breakfast clubs have been able to be put on thanks to Forever Manchester’s ongoing relationship with Kellogg’s. Kellogg’s Give A Child A Breakfast campaign aims to give children from all backgrounds the right to a good, nutritional start to the day. Although these clubs are usually held before school, Kellogg’s are piloting breakfast clubs in the school holidays this summer. All of the clubs have been funded for 10 weeks and will continue to open throughout the October half term, the Christmas and the Easter holidays.
This particular club comes as part of our ongoing relationship with First Choice Homes thanks to our Community Building activity in the area.
