We are delighted to announce that The Barker Baker will be sponsoring comperes Tim Cocker and Jim Salveson at our Birthday Bash.
The Barker Baker is a new artisan bakery, deli and bottle shop, based in Littleborough, Rochdale. The Barker Baker was set up by Fran Barker, who has turned her life around thanks to finding a passion for bread making; and has now gone from selling bread from a suitcase to having a shop in just two years!
Fran recently spoke at Forever Manchester Women about her incredible journey. Fran continues to work closely with probation services and women’s centres, running baking workshops and food education classes in the hope of inspiring others to follow in her footsteps.
We are delighted that a new business has decided to support our Birthday Bash. The Barker Baker will be sponsoring comperes Tim Cocker and Jim Salveson, who hosted the XFM Breakfast Show for over 5 years and were firm favourites on the radio station that stopped transmission to make way for Radio X earlier this year.
Fran Barker, Owner and Founder of The Barker Baker said: “Forever Manchester gives people the opportunity to turn their lives into something that they couldn’t believe even possible. Forever Manchester is facilitating our communities in bringing them together in a way that no other charity does. I’m proud to be supporting such a brilliant event.”
The Barker Baker has just opened in Littleborough, and if you’d like to try Fran’s treats head to:
1A Winton Street
The Barker Baker will also be providing the bread which will accompany the meal at our Birthday Bash.
