Captain Manchester’s Cool Runnings Award is a talking point among many businesses across Greater Manchester including Autotrader UK.

Autotrader have an incredible 50 runners taking part in the Great Manchester 10k for us, who are being split into 8 teams to compete against one another.

The teams are split into teams of 8 of mixed ability runners who will be competing against one another, but as a whole, Autotrader wil be competing as a team for Captain Manchester’s Cool Runnings Award.

Cheryl and Jean from Team FM visited Autotrader UK when staff taking part were presented with personalised t-shirts (pictured). They spoke to the Autotrader running team about where the money they raise will be going and just how much it’ll be helping the communities of Greater Manchester.

Simon Dumencic and Christos Tsaprounis are the ‘Mr Motivators’ of Team Autotrader and the people who have managed to get 50 people to Run For Round Ere, which we’re very grateful  for, and we’re sure the team are doing everything they can to win the prestigious Captain Manchester Cool Runnings Award.

Autotrader UK have decided to ‘Run For Round Ere’. The money they raise will be reinvested into the communities where they work, play, rest, live and love. If you want to run for the area you’re proud of and passionate about, then do it for Forever Manchester.

AutoTrader are based at the newly renamed Tony Wilson Place, formerly known as First Street, Manchester, so their Mancunian roots are now running through the building they’re in and they want to celebrate this by raising money for round ‘ere.

AutoTrader’s Relationship Manager, Simon Dumencic said:

“AutoTrader is delighted to support Forever Manchester in the Greater Manchester 10k.  With AutoTrader having such a big presence here at Tony Wilson Place, we are determined to make a difference within the local community. We’ve got 50 staff taking part in the run and by supporting Forever Manchester we feel we can make a real difference at a grassroots, local level.”
