Art Battle Manchester V is taking place at The Engine Room at Hope Mill on Saturday 26th September.

This will be the fifth instalment of Art Battle Manchester and it will be raising money for Forever Manchester.

Artists will be given 30 minutes to take part in a live competitive painting competition, which will then be auctioned off. Proceeds from the art will then be split between Forever Manchester and the artist themselves. The night will also include Art Battle Manchester’s first ever street-art battle.

John Macaulay from Art Battle Manchester said: “Since we started the Art Battle Manchester journey two years ago, we’ve held the event at some special venues ranging from music venues to theatres. Over this time, we’ve been repeatedly approached by a number of the city’s top street artists, asking to get involved. Unfortunately sprays have been out of the question as all the venues have been indoors. However, after 2 years of searching, we finally found a hidden gem where we can finally a get Street Artists involved. The Engine Room at Hope Mill is a beautiful Grade 2 listed building home to 120 artists and a rich industrial heritage. This will be the biggest and best Art Battle Manchester yet.”

Art Battle Manchester V will see:

  • 10 talented artists – painting a masterpiece in only 30 minutes while you watch the art evolve. You decide the winner
  • A Street Art Battle featuring some of the city’s top street artists who normally paint under the cover of darkness
  • Music
  • Watch a car get sprayed up
  • A few random surprises
  • Licensed bar
