The Joy of Pork – Drunken Butcher

Drunken Butcher is a name that has become synonymous with bloody good food here in Greater Manchester.

Iain Devine aka Drunken Butcher, is the creator created and served a meat-themed menu for a pop up event during Manchester Food and Drink Festival 2012, following the success of this he decided to move into the field of supper clubs and one off catering. The supper clubs, in particular, have proved to be very popular mixing Iain’s love of quality ingredients and technique with a more relaxed style of eating. They have been known to sell out within a matter of minutes.

Iain has recently been featured on Manchester Confidential and new north west food magazine Bitten. His love for food has extended to his love for Manchester and he is doing an evening of his infamous ‘The Joy of Pork’ to raise funds for us.

It will take place at Red Bank Co, on Saturday 20th June from 7.00pm until 11.30pm.

After costs all proceeds will come back into our charity and the money will be used to help local people do extraordinary things.

Here is the menu for you to pursue.

Amuse – Chicharrons & chilli and soy pork cheeks.

Starter – Torchon of pig’s head, cherries & mustard.

Main – Roast T-bone of pork, belly roast potatoes, cauliflower gratin, rosemary & thyme sauce.

Pudding – Spiced plum & raisin soup, cinnamon ice cream.

Finish – Homemade oreos & Jim Beam milkshake.
